Description: 1953 Johnny Unitas University of Louisville letterman's certificate. Original 6"x8" paper stock certificate with the name "John Unitas" typed in was "awarded…with all the honors, rights and privileges thereunto appertaining." The year "1953" is likewise typed along with the sport, "Football." Unitas put up strong numbers playing college ball although the Louisville football program never managed much success. He would go on to be drafted by the Steelers and ultimately found a home in Baltimore where he would lead the Colts through some of the most memorable seasons in NFL history. Light toning with some minor scrapbook residue on back. Includes letter of provenance from the Unitas Family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$3,000)
