Description: Rare 1939 All-Star Game autographed baseball with Lou Gehrig. Lightly toned Harridge AL baseball signed by (15) players who attended or participated in the 1939 MLB All-Star Game. Signatures include Lou Gehrig, Walter Johnson, Gabby Hartnett, Joe Medwick, Lefty Gomez, Ernie Lombardi, and Bucky Walters. Signatures range from 6 to 8 out of 10. Gehrig displays beautifully, alone, at the top of a side panel rating 7/8 out of 10. His presence on 1939 All-Star related baseballs is exceedingly rare given his removal from MLB play due to his tragic illness in early July of 1939. Gehrig did not play in the 1939 game but was named honorary captain. Fresh to the market example presenting with very fine condition grade Gehrig signature.
