Description: Rare Harry Heilmann professional model baseball bat c.1922-25 - the most productive time period of his career and his (.400) season (PSA "GU 7"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Heilmann facsimile signature in the barrel measures 34" long and weighs 37.2oz. Uncracked with evidence of outstanding use including ball/contact marks on the left and back barrel along with cleat marks and a few rack streaks. The handle is wrapped in period tape for grip (a small portion of which has fallen off). The letter "A" was long ago carved into the knob, the reason for which is unknown. An outstanding game bat related to one of the premier Hall of Fame hitters of the period and an era in which he twice claimed the American League batting title hitting (.403) in 1923 and (.393) in 1925.
