Description: Rare 1926 New York Yankees team autographed baseball (AL Champions). Lightly toned and clear coated American League baseball having been signed by (22) members of the AL Champion Yankees to include Ruth, Gehrig, Combs, Hoyt, Lazzeri, Pennock, Collins, Shocker, and Beall. Signatures range from 6--8 out of 10 including a very fine Ruth autograph boldly placed across the sweet spot. Gehrig displays nicely in early career signature format across the top of a side panel. The 1926 season marked the beginning of the Yankees late 1920s dynasty as the club captured the AL pennant reaching the World Series where they were defeated by the formidable St. Louis Cardinals in seven games. The Yankees would go on to win the World Championship in both 1927 and 1928 with the core group of the 1926 club. Very difficult Yankees team baseball presenting in fine condition grade.
