Description: Tom Heinsohn's 2015 Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Trophy. Important figural trophy was presented to Tommy Heinsohn upon his Induction into the Hall of Fame in 2015. This would be the second time he was so honored with this later example bestowed in tribute to his efforts as a Coach. He is one of only four people in the Hall of Fame as both a Coach and player. Heinsohn took over as the Boston Celtics head Coach in 1969 and over nine seasons lead the team to a pair of NBA Championship titles. He was named Coach of The Year for the 1972-73 season. Presentational trophy stands 19.5" tall with "Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame" and "Enshrinee" lettered on the top surface of the base. A pair of affixed metal placards read "Class of 2015" and "Tommy Heinsohn." In fine overall condition with just a hint of light handling wear mentioned largely for accuracy. Includes 2015 dated letter on NBA stationary signed by Commissioner Adam Silver ("Adam") congratulating Heinsohn on his Induction (EX) and letter of provenance from the Heinsohn Family: EX/MT-NMEstimated Price Range: ($5,000-$10,000)
