Description: 1899-90 M101-1 Sporting News Supplements Frank Chance Rookie. Scarce glossy paper stock premium from one of the most elegant series released in the period shows a young Frank Chance on the cusp of his Hall of Fame career. The piece was issued with the November 18, 1899 edition of the Sporting News as is considered his Rookie. Housed in 11.5"x14.5" frame with glass on both sides to allow viewing of front and back. Visible wear includes minor scattered wrinkles, a heavier crease at lower right, and there is a vertical fold down the center. There is a small split evident at the top of this vertical fold and what appear to be two small edge tears elsewhere. Small amount of soiling can be seen on front right edge and there is some discoloration over one shoulder.
