Archive of pieces which are related to "trap ball" which is one of the earliest popular games on record which included the striking of a ball with paddle. It is widely considered to be a precursor to what has become the modern game of baseball. Includes 2.75" tall mug which has color transfer scene on front showing a game in play with "Trap Bat & Ball" caption (EX, surface crazing and a touch of light soiling/wear); vintage illustration showing (3) children playing a similar game (framed to 6.5"x8.5", EX-NM); hand made wooden paddle (18" long) with red painted handle that is of similar style to that shown in both scenes (VG-EX with mild use/wear); and a small ball which is constructed of one piece of leather that has (4) seams cut in (EX): Overall EX
