Description: Significant Gino Marchetti 1970 Baltimore Colts Super Bowl ring. 1970 Baltimore Colts Super Bowl V 10k gold Championship ring presented to Marchetti. Custom manufactured ring as presented to Marchetti as an iconic member of the Colts’ franchise utilizing a period Colts Super Bowl V pendant with a fashioned ring body below. The face has a large diamond solitaire at center which is surrounded by the classic horseshoe shaped Colts team logo accented with seven inset blue sapphire stones. “Baltimore Colts World Champions” is lettered inside the beveled edge. Left shank has “1970 Super Bowl V” text and a rendering of the famed trophy. Right has the name “Marchetti” and “89” uniform number on a scroll atop a Colts logo helmet with game scores below. The ring is size (14 ) and weighs (45) grams. Marked with “10k” with Jostens manufacturer’s hallmark on the interior band with a hint of light wear. Ring includes its original mahogany lidded wooden case with inset brass titling placard on top, “’Gino Marchetti Baltimore Colts Super Bowl Ring 1970” and Jostens label under the base. This particular example varies slightly in design and manufacture from those presented to team members of the 1970 Colts, accordingly, as presented to Marchetti for his iconic tenure within the franchise at a subsequent date. The championship was the lone Super Bowl title in the storied history of the Colts storied tenure in Baltimore with the 1970 team revered among the very elite of their era.
