Iconic houndstooth Fedora hat as worn by Dallas Cowboys head coach Tom Landry presents as one of the most recognizable NFL related images on the 1970-80s era. Hat shows appropriate light to moderate use including perspiration residue around the interior forehead area. Impressed Knox, NY manufacturer's stamping within interior. The hat is accompanied by an outstanding Tom Landry autographed letter of provenance. Letter is dated May 14, 1984 and includes content, in part, "Wear this hat to all you faculty and PTA meetings and you will never again have to refer to yourself as the "Tom Landry of Trinity High School". All will know because actions speak louder than words. Remember, don't leave home without it.".
