Wilson P.Rozelle Official NFL football with white painted panel lettered "This Ball Presented to Walter Payton, League Leading Average On Kick-Off Returns, 31.7 Yards Per Carry, 1975." Presented to Payton following his first season with the Chicago Bears who had drafted him as their first round pick. While the season was not an all too remarkable one for a then (21) year old Payton, in the dozen that followed he would re-write record books and come to be regarded as one of the greatest football players in history. The lone presentational football dating his 1975 Rookie season within the Payton Collection. Mild general age related wear and some minor air loss.
