Description: Early albumen rendering (late 19th or early 20th century) depicting the iconic 1885 Chicago White Stockings team posed in full uniform within studio setting. Players are identified in period fountain pen on the image including Adrian Anson, John Clarkson, Billy Sunday, Fred Pfeffer, and Jimmy Ryan. Photo size measures 9"x13 1/2" mounted on linen backed paper stock. Photo presents with fine registration and contrast having horizontal crease running from right edge of the border into the center of the image. Also mounted underneath the image is section of the original cabinet mount with stenciled "Chicago White Stockings 1885" in white pattering.
