Description: Red Auerbach presentational 1984 Boston Celtics NBA Championship wristwatch Red Auerbach Family Collection). Omega 10K gold plated stainless steel wristwatch as issued to Red Auerbach in commemoration of the Celtics 1984 NBA Championship. The dial façade displays Celtics clover insignia with basketball decorative numerals and "1984 World Champion Boston Celtics" titling. Red Auerbach wore an identical style wristwatch as the offered example with numerous related images including the cover of the 1995 program issued for Auerbach's final game in the Boston Garden. It is believed that there were a very small number of these watches commissioned for family members and dignitaries inclusive of this example which originates from a member of the Auerbach family. We are not able to conclusively render an opinion as to whether this was worn by Auerbach himself or presented. Watch not currently in running order with some moderate wear to the metal band. Very fine Celtics championship presentational jewelry piece with relation to the central figure in team history.
