Description: Important 1957 Tommy Heinsohn Boston Celtics NBA Championship ring. Original ring presented to Tommy Heinsohn for his efforts as part of the Boston Celtics 1957 NBA Championship team. It would be the first of eight Championship Celtics team on which he played. Drafted by the Celtics as a regional pick in 1956, Heinsohn enjoyed a hugely successful first year in the League earning Rookie of The Year honors in 1957. He played a pivotal role in not only the Celtics regular season but is largely responsible for their title run having scored (37) points and grabbing (23) rebounds in the double-overtime 7th game of the NBA Finals. Top face features a diamond solitaire of approx. .25 carat weight set within basketball shaped mount with "World Champions" lettered around the edge. Matching designs on either shank include the year, "1957", and the Celtics shamrock logo. "TH" initials are on the interior band which is marked "KOCH 10K." Size (8.5)(does not appear to have been re-sized so likely worn on non-ring finger) and weighs (25) grams. Remarkably well preserved with only a touch of light handling wear. Includes letter of provenance from the Heinsohn Family: EX/MT-NM
