Description: Scarce George Senesky Philadelphia Warriors professional model jersey c.1946-47. Early wool sleeveless jersey dating to the formative season for the Basketball Association of America. The Philadelphia club won the inaugural championship in 1946 defeating Chicago's team in the finals with the short lived league absorbed by the NBA for the 1949 season. Cream color wool shirt retains its original "PHILA" team name across the front with "8" on front and back. Interior tail area houses Horace Partridge Co. manufacturer's label with size 40 flag tag. The jersey shows evident use and age wear with some areas of small holes scattered throughout as commonly seen on shirts of this era.
