Description: 1986-87 Julius Erving autographed Philadelphia 76ers professional model jersey. Red mesh jersey with "Sixers" team name and "6" uniform number in white on blue tackle twill. "Erving" name in white lettering on back above white on blue "6" in tackle twill. Proper Sand Knit manufacturer's label affixed to the tail front with size 40 indicator along with "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Philadelphia 76ers" tag. It may be noted that other Erving jerseys from the 1986-87 season are found with and without an additional "2" Extra Length" tag as well to which this example does not. Shirt shows light general wear with a few areas to the interior right side seam which were taken in. Signed by Erving on the back in black sharpie adding "2022" notation. Perhaps no other player shaped the game of professional basketball than Dr. J during the 1970-80s era. His style of play revolutionized the game and its related appeal to popular culture. Originally obtained by a collector who received items directly from players and team employees in the period.
