Description: 1989-90 James Worthy autographed Los Angeles Lakers professional model jersey (MeiGray Photo Match). Purple mesh jersey retaining its original "Lakers" team name in white/gold tackle twill above "42" which has been signed in black sharpie by Worthy. Back of jersey displays "Worthy" gold/white lettering above matching "42". Proper MacGregor/Sand Knit manufacturer's label is affixed to the tail front with size 40 indicator along with "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Los Angeles Lakers" tag, "89" year tag, and "3" LB" tag. Exceptional use/wash wear is visible throughout the jersey including notable "puckering" to the numerals and tagging areas. MeiGray has photo matched the shirt to two games played in November and December of 1989 when Worthy tallied 22 and 28 points, respectively. James Worthy was a key member of the Lakers teams that followed the departure of Kareem Abdul Jabbar enjoying a first place finish in the 1989-90 season but falling to the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conf. semi finals. Superb game worn shirt with string display qualities. Originally obtained by a collector who received items directly from players and team employees in the period.
