Description: 1973 John Hannah autographed Hula Bowl jersey. Red mesh jersey has white shoulders which feature red and blue star accents. The number "73" appears on front and "Hannah 73" is on the back. "Southern Athletic" tag in the collar notes size (XL). Nice, albeit appropriately light, use is evident throughout along with some minor discoloration which is consistent with a game which was played in heavy rain. Appearing in the game after his Senior year at Alabama John Madden, after seeing pre-game workouts, is quoted as saying "You know, the best player I've seen out here is John Hannah." It was a sentiment he repeated years later at an NFL League meeting. A desirable game jersey with first hand provenance from just before the start of Hannah's Hall of Fame career.
