Description: 1999 Derek Jeter New York Yankees professional model game used road jersey - World Series Championship season (Yankees/Steiner). Road jersey has "New York" team name across the front and number "2" on back. On the left sleeve is a black number "5" worn in honor of Joe DiMaggio. Russell Athletic tag on the front tail notes size (46) and Polyester and custom length tags are adjacent. A printed strip tag reading "Jeter 1998" suggests the jersey was originally intended for use the season before. A Yankees/Steiner hologram is affixed to the Russell tag and an included LOA states that the jersey is "game used." The 1999 Yankees won their third World Series title in four years and they would repeat again the following season. Jeter posted some of his most impressive numbers batting (.349) while leading the A.L. in hits with (219).
