Description: 1980 Tim Raines Montreal Expos professional model home Rookie jersey (SGC/Grob: "Superior"). White home jersey has Expos team name and logo on left front chest and number "30" on the right. Number also appears on back below the name "Raines." Rawlings tag on the inside front tail notes size (40) and adjacent is a "Set 2 1980" flag tag. Nice use and wash wear are evident throughout. Raines is best remembered for his time in Montreal where he spent over a decade establishing himself as one of the premier leadoff hitters and baserunners of our generation. He played just (15) games for the Expos in 1980 and would become a more regular member of their lineup the following season which was the first in a string of (4) in which he would lead the League in stolen bases. He would go on to (7) All-Star appearances, a batting title in 1986, and he played or Coaches on (3) World Series Championship teams. Includes LOAs from Hunt Auctions and SGC/Grob (graded "Superior") and a Letter of Authenticity from former teammate Vince Coleman (note - the Coleman signature is pre-printed and we pass this letter along to support potential history but can not guarantee that it was part of the Coleman Collection): EX
