Description: 1999 Pokey Reese Gold Glove Award. Prestigious figural award as presented annually to the premier defensive players of the National and American League by position. Wooden base supports a full size gold finished leather glove with "Rawlings Gold Glove Award" logo visible. This flanked by a pair of gold colored baseballs in baseball bat figural supports. The support on one side has two broken bats which have been partially repaired. Laser engraved on the front of the base is a likeness of Pokey Reese. Text below reads, "1999 Rawlings Gold Glove Award, Pokey Reese, Second Base - National League, Honoring His Selection as The Finest In The Field." The first of two consecutive Gold Gloves which Reese would earn for his defensive play.
