Description: 1990 Eric Davis Cincinnati Reds World Series Championship trophy (Second copy ordered by Davis himself).Miniature version of the iconic trophy presented to the Championship team each season as ordered by Eric Davis following the Reds World Series victory. The piece stands 12" tall with brass pennants representing each team in both the American and National Leagues ringing the base. At the center is a brass ring topped with crown finial. Reds and Athletics World Series press pin facades are mounted in the front. A brass ring which encircles the base reads "World Series Champions, Cincinnati Reds, 1990, Eric Davis." This ring has some wear/tarnish and the lettering is visible but faded. Original "Balfour" label is affixed to the underside. Davis was among the exciting players in baseball during his time with the Reds and ranked among the games' most potent hitters in the late 1980s. His homerun off Dave Stewart in the 1990 World Series ignited Cincinnati whom would sweep the heavily favored Athletics in four games.
