Description: Rare Roberto "Momen" Clemente professional model baseball bat c.1960 (PSA "GU 8"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with "Momen Clemente" facsimile signature burned in the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 31.6oz. Model number "S2" is factory stamped in the knob which has a faint "21" player number notation. Uncracked with light but well defined evident use including visible ball and contact marks. A touch of minor moisture staining to the barrel end is noted for accuracy. PSA has dated the bat to 1960, specifically, on the included LOA - a banner year for Clemente who hit (.314) while leading the Pirates to a World Series Championship. Bats with "Momen" burned in, as opposed to the more commonly found "Roberto" as used later in his career, are highly desirable and seldom offered. This is a choice example dating to a Legendary season and one of the better Clemente game bats we have offered in some time.
