Description: Rare 1939 "Baseball Centennial" commemorative bat with facsimile signatures including Babe Ruth. Black finished Louisville Slugger baseball bat (34" long) has an impressed "1839 1939 baseball Centennial" logo in between the centerbrand and "Cavalcade Of Baseball, Cooperstown N.Y., June 12 1939" text. In very strong high grade condition with little mentionable wear. One of only a handful of black bats we have seen commemorating the opening of the Hall of Fame and this is the lone example which has impressed facsimile signatures and/or block letter names of attendees including Babe Ruth, Lefty Grove, Moe Berg, and Hank Greenberg: EX/MT-NMEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$2,000)
