Description: Baseball figural music box c.1940s-50s. Ornate figural music box based on an earlier design is a later period interpretation. Composed of a baseball shaped compartment, with impressed player likenesses, atop diamond base with crossed bats decoration. The lid to the baseball compartment lifts to reveal a windup music box which is in working order. Stands approx. 6.5" tall with 8.25"x10" footprint.
