Description: John McGraw "Silver Jubilee" bronze presentational plaque. Substantive forged bronze plaque was presented to John McGraw at a July 1927 event in New York in honor of his (25) years as Manager of the Giants. The piece measures 21.25"x14.25" with a bust of McGraw at the top and a list of (26) newspaper from across the country at the bottom. Includes a number of related pieces incl. 8"x10" of attendees of the event; small snapshot of McGraw which has notation on back relaying that he is shown at a New York Sportswriters event holding a plaque (possibly that same which is offered although that he is holding is mounted to wooden backing); program from a March 1927 McGraw Silver Jubilee which was thrown in Sarasota Florida (covers separated); (2) 1950s press photographs of Mrs. McGraw shown at home with the plaque hanging behind her.
