Description: Rare Reach baseball tin advertising sign c.1910-15. Lithographed tin sign has raised "The Reach Ball" titling below an illustration of an Official American League baseball. Text below proclaims it "The Official Ball of the American League" and "The Standard of the Base Ball World." Printed instructions on the back (partially visible) note the great expense to which the company went to produce the sign and asks the retailer that it be displayed prominently. Marked (partially visible) "A.J. Reach Company...The American Art Works" below. The piece measures just over 6"x13" and displays despite wear which includes rust, a few scuffs/nicks, and (9) nail holes which appear at random intervals throughout.
