Description: "Curse of The Bambino" - The sale of Babe Ruth framed display with key figure autographs. Large framed display (25"x29") showcasing a total of (4) signatures related to the historic sale of Ruth to the New York Yankees by Red Sox owner Harry Frazee. Includes "Babe Ruth" fountain pen signature (7/8 out of 10) which appears on the back of a 1930 railroad coupon; "Harry H. Frazee" fountain pen signature which appears on the bottom of a baseball related financial document (9/10 out of 10); "J.J. Lannin" fountain pen signature on a typed letter to Ed Barrow regarding the sale/finances of a Minor League baseball team. Lannin prompted the sale of Ruth by threatening to foreclose on Fenway Park due to monies owed; and a "Jack Dunn" signature which is secretarial. Dunn was the scout who discovered Ruth and signed him to his first professional contract. It is said the when Ruth arrived for his first Spring Training the other players took to calling him "Dunn's new Babe" and the nickname stuck. The pieces are secured in place such that they can be removed and will have some fold lines and other light to mild scattered wear. Includes full LOA from JSA: Sigs. EX-NM
