Description: Rare Princeton Football decorative porcelain water set c.1905. Very uncommon design variant depicting early uniformed Princeton football player with high collar sweater and melon style football. The set features one large 12" tall handled water pitcher with six matching 5" tall handled mugs (scene is slightly different on pitcher versus mugs). Marked by artist John Sheridan with copyright date of 1905 and Laughlin Art China hallmarks underneath the base. Expected handling and age wear throughout including some relatively minor paint chipping to some edges. Two of the mugs have repaired interior hairline cracks mentioned for accuracy.
