Description: Rare Yale Baseball team cabinet photograph c.1871. Mounted 4"x6" image picturing the Yale team posed in very early baseball uniforms with high top cleats and jerseys having "Y" on front. Leather baseball is positioned in front of the group with excellent image clarity overall. 'Yale BBC 1871" lightly printed in period fountain pen on the back with a later address stamp from Cleveland Ohio presumably. Front bottom margin has faint vestiges of several player names printed in pencil. DeSilvo, New Haven, CT photographer stamp on mount.
