Description: Rare Navy Football decorative porcelain water set c.1905. Very uncommon design variant depicting early uniformed Navy football player with flat top helmet and melon style football. The set features one large 12" tall handled water pitcher with six matching 5" tall handled mugs. Marked by artist Bristow Adams with copyright date of 1905 and Laughlin Art China hallmarks underneath the base. Expected handling and age wear throughout including some relatively minor paint chipping to some edges. Two of the mugs have interior hairline cracks mentioned for accuracy.
