Description: 1912 L1 Helmar Leathers #111 Rube Marquard. Desirable oversized (approx. 10"x14") leather premium issued by Helmar in exchange for coupons packaged with their "Turkish Trophies" line of tobacco products. The coupons could be exchanged for a T3 Cabinet Card (10-15 coupons), S81 Silk (20-25 coupons), or an L1 Leather (35-50 coupons). This trio of premiums are among the most sought after tobacco related issues in the hobby and the L1 Leathers are by far the rarest. Very fine example showing the Hall of Famers as a member of the New York Giants. Displays at EX/MT condition level with a few superficial spots/areas of discoloration and a hint of wear to the front.
