Description: Fine 1973 John Cappelletti Walter Camp Award: College Back of the Year (Heisman Trophy season). Classic figural silverplated award as presented to Cappelletti as the Walter Camp Award recipient for the 1973 season as the "College Back of the Year". Visually appealing piece stands 16" tall with 10" upper metal figural of a child running with football. Mounted on base front below are a cast metal football which is lettered "Touchdown Club of Washington, D.C." and additional smaller piece reading "Timmie Award". A large placard reads "College Back of the Year in Memory of Walter Camp" with "John Cappelletti Penn State University" noted below. General light wear overall.
