Description: 1974 Johnny Bench Gold Glove Award. Prestigious award as presented annually to the premier defensive players of the National and American League by position. Classic design showcases a gold finish Rawlings leather glove with "Major League All Star Fielding Team" impressed in black lettering. This sits atop a pedestal that has a metal placard imprinted with a likeness of Bench on front. On either side sit a pair of gold finished baseballs in three pronged holders. Additional metal placard on the lower front reads, "1974 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Presented to Johnny Bench, Catcher, 7th Award, Honoring His Selection to The Sporting News National League All-Star Fielding Team". Measures 6.5"x17.25" at widest points and stands approx. 16.5" tall. Some light scattered wear is a touch more accentuated in areas and the metal placard at bottom (with titling/text) sits slightly off center and has some mild wear effecting the final few words.
