Description: 1966 Johnny Bench autographed Peninsula Grays player transfer and related Topps All-Star Team presentational bowl. Includes presentational bowl which is engraved, "Topps Chewing Gum National Association 1966 All-Star Team, Class A, John Bench, C, Peninsula." The piece measures 6" across at its' widest and is marked "Paul Revere" on the underside with a touch of light wear; original April 6, 1966 dated contract assignment document which made Bench a member of the Peninsula Club of the Carolina League. Signed "Johnny Bench" in ink rating 8 out of 10. Typical fold lines and light scattered wear; 1989 Pilots program which has Bench (in team uniform) on the cover and has been signed in marker rating 9/10 out of 10 (scored with handling wear). Bench won Player of The Year honors in the League and performed so well that the Grays retired his number (8) before he left.
