Description: Exceptional 1984 Tony Gwynn autographed San Diego Padres professional model home jersey with World Series attribution. (SGC/Grob Superior). Desirable home jersey as issued to Gwynn who was then in his third season and would claim the National League batting title while leading the Padres to the World Series. It was given to Jack McKeon by Gwynn directly following the Series and it has remained in his possession since that time. White knit jersey has "Padres" team name across the front and number "19" on back below a "Gwynn" nameplate. "RAK" initials on the left sleeve were worn in honor of late team owner Ray Kroc. Wilson tag in the collar notes size (42) and a "19 84" embroidered strip tag on the front tail denotes player number and year. In outstanding all original condition with evident use and wash wear. Signed in marker by Gwynn rating 7/8 out of 10. Based on early career dating, World Series attribution, and primary source provenance the offered jersey may well be the finest Gwynn shirt to have entered the collecting marketplace.
