Description: Rare Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates professional model hat c.1966. Classic style with black body having a "P" team logo embroidered on front and yellow button accent. "New Era…Pro Model" tag appears on the interior leather band and there are remnants of a longer present size tag to one side. Number "21" is written inside in period black marker in similar style to numerous other Clemente pieces we have handled. In fine overall condition with nice use and some light age related wear. Originally sourced with a 1966 Clemente uniform allowing for the date attribution to his MVP Award winning season. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and documentation from the 2009 auction in which it was offered at the same time as the reference uniform: EXEstimated Price Range: ($15,000-$25,000)
