Description: Larry Doby autographed professional model baseball bat c.1953-56. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with "Doby" block lettered in the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 34.3oz. Model number "D89" is factory stamped in the knob which has a faded period notation that can not be deciphered. This model is only listed on Doby's factory records as having been shipped to him in 1953, 54, and 56. Strong use is evident throughout with ball and contact marks covering the barrel along with a series of dents/indentations. Tape applied to the upper handle is possibly covering a crack. Signed in marker "Larry Doby" and inscribed "July 5-47" rating 9 out of 10. Notably rare and one of only a few Doby bats we have handled, this being the first which is autographed.
