Description: Jackie Robinson Bond Bread advertising poster c.1947-48. Period advertising display shows Robinson in uniform (with additional views of his wife Rachel and son, Jackie Jr.) in promotion of the Homogenized Bond Bread Company. The Company is well known in the collecting field having issued a set of trading cards featuring Robinson which is considered by many to contain his true Rookie card. The piece measures 11"x15" and has mild general wear including pinholes at top center. Double sided tape was applied at each corner by the maker and was intended to be removed so that the retailer could affix the poster, facing out, to a store window. This tape has never had the front layer removed on (3) of the (4) corners while the last (upper right) was peeled off (both protective layer and tape itself). Some resulting damage is visible.
