Lot Number: 358

Description: Extremely rare 1903 World Series Game One ticket stub (Inaugural Game in World Series History). Original heavy stock stub (approx. 1.75"x3.5") issued for the game played in Boston at the Huntington Avenue Baseball Grounds. Pittsburgh emerged the winner with Deacon Phillippe besting the venerable Cy Young. Stub has mild corner and edge wear. The black print on front has faded (but remains readily visible) and the piece has mild overall toning. One of only a scant few exemplars to be offered publicly to the first World Series game played in the modern era. Additionally, it is one of just two which has been encapsulated by PSA. An immensely important artifact and generational collecting opportunity. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA: FR (PSA "Authentic")
