Description: Gary Carter professional model bat c.1977-79. Louisville Slugger 125 model P89 bat with Carter facsimile signature impressed measures just shy of 35" long and weighs 31.7oz. Number "8" is written on either end in vintage black marker. Nice use is evident throughout with several ball, contact, and cleat marks. A nice coat of pine tar is on the handle which has been taped for grip and there is a crack which starts just above the tape and extends to almost the centerbrand. A "Montreal Expos" logo decal is applied between the markings. Very nice example with strong display value dating to the earlier portion of Carter's Hall of Fame career.
