Description: 1960 Early Wynn autographed Chicago White Sox professional model home jersey (SGC/Grob Very Good/Excellent). Pinstriped cream color flannel shirt as worn by the legendary White Sox hurler retaining its original "Sox" team insignia in tackle twill across the front breast area with matching "24" on the reverse. Number "24" also displayed on the right sleeve area as well. "Wynn" chain stitched into strip tag inside the collar area which has some damage to the area above the name stitching. Faint vestiges of two or three letters are visible on the lining of interior collar area mentioned for accuracy only. Wilson manufacturer's tag with size 38 indicator is affixed to the tail front having "1960" chain stitched strip tag below. The jersey shows very strong use and wash wear including appropriate "puckering" to the numerals/letters and general surface wear. Wynn has autographed the jersey in blue marker around the collar area. Wynn was widely regarded as one of the toughest pitchers in the game with a penchant for throwing at opposing batsman. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1972 with the offered example ranking as a very fine surviving Wynn game jersey. Includes LOA from SGC/Grob (Very Good/Excellent)(jersey) and auction LOA from JSA (autograph): EX
