Description: 1957 Nellie Fox Chicago White Sox professional model road jersey (SGC/Grob Superior/Excellent)(MEARS A9.5). Grey flannel jersey retains its original "Chicago" team name in blue tackle twill across the front with number "2" on the back. MacGregor manufacturer's label inside collar with size 40 indicator having "Set 1 1957" flag tag on the interior tail area. The jersey exhibits outstanding evident use including soiling and area of toning around the belt area as commonly seen on uniforms of the period. The 1957 season was one of the finest of his Hall of Fame career batting .317 with career highs in both RBIs and home runs. Exceptional specimen in original condition.
