Description: Significant July 15, 1980 Johnny Bench home run baseball - his 314th as a catcher establishing a new MLB record. Rawlings C.Feeney ONL baseball was hit by Bench for his 347th career homerun in the Reds game (vs. Montreal) which was played at Riverfront Stadium. Bench went (1-4) with the all important hit being a (2) run homerun in the bottom of the 5th inning. It was the 314th he hit while playing catcher and it put him ahead of Yogi Berra establishing a new record as the then most prolific home run hitting catcher of All-Time. Retrieved the Reds it was later presented to Bench in the included display case. An engraved metal placard affixed to the front reads in part, "Johnny Bench - 314th Home Run, July 15, 1980...Home Run Makes Bench Baseball's All Time Home Run Hitting Catcher, Presented by Cincinnati Reds, Inc."
