Description: March 17, 1978 Johnny Bench autographed St. Patrick's Day professional model hat. Green hat with "C" team logo embroidered on front as worn by the Reds in their Spring Training game against the New York Yankees. An exceedingly rare one game style and the offered example is by far the most significant, with regard to provenance and stature of player, of the small number which have surfaced. "New Era...Pro Model" and size "7 5/8" tags on the interior band. Number "5" is written both inside and under the brim in marker. Appropriate light use/wear and it has been signed "Johnny Bench St. Patrick's Day 1978" in marker rating 8 out of 10.
