Description: 1938 Gum Inc. "Horrors Of War" partial set of (186) cards with many high grade. Intact collection as assembled decades ago (likely at the time of issue) was then carefully mounted within an album. Each card is secured by two photo corners and those which have been removed or naturally fallen off are largely unaffected by use of these corners (one card has a corner stuck to it and this could likely be removed by a professional). The cards appear to be from several different series (only a handful from higher numbers) and there are varying degrees/types of wear throughout. It appears that there are many higher grade cards mixed in and only a small number which show noteworthy wear. While we can not state with certainty how many cards can removed without trace of damage we would estimate that nearly all can and only around (20) percent have the outward appearance of grading lower than VG/EX.
