Description: Choice c.1983-88 John Elway Denver Broncos professional model jersey with team repair. Orange mesh jersey has number "7" screened on front, back, and sleeves and an "Elway" nameplate across the back. On the front is a stitched outline of where the team applied handwarmer was formerly attached (Elway can be seen in many period images taken during game play with one of these affixed). The portion of the jersey which is below this outline was cut away and later replaced by the team, likely at Elway's request and presumably done as part of experimentation to determine what fit of jersey he most preferred. A "Russell Athletic" tag noting size (44) and adjacent "Nylon" flag tag are on this lower portion. There is strong usage and wash wear throughout with a team repair on the back of the left shoulder.
