Description: Significant 1950 Mickey Mantle First Appearance in New York Yankees uniform photograph by Cliff Oliver (PSA/DNA "Type I"). Black and white 7"x9" photo has "International News Photos" and "July 1951" stamps on the back along with some handwritten notations. Light wear is confined to the white borders/edges. The photo was taken in September of 1950 showing the 18 year old Mantle working out with the Yankees during a western road trip in September of 1950. The offered example is one of two known to PSA with the second example retaining its original paper i.d. label pictured in the catalogue (missing from offered photo).
