Description: 1953 Topps sheet of (100) cards (in 10 strips) with Mickey Mantle and Jackie Robinson. Spectacular original sheet of 1953 Topps baseball cards numbers (100) subjects in total with notables including Mantle, Robinson, Eddie Mathews, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, Enos Slaughter, Bob Feller, Red Schoendienst, Monte Irvin, and Johnny Mize. It was long ago cut into (10) strips (each 10 cards long) which was likely done to facilitate easy storage in the era before an uncut sheet in it's original form would have been of monetary value. Overall display value is exceptional with all cards retaining bright and bold color. Upon close inspection there is some scattered wear including a few scattered wrinkles and creases and some surface loss/scuffs to (2) cards (Bob Kennedy and Johnny Klippstein). It is presently matted to 31"x41.5" and while we have not inspected the strips out of their display, peeling back one corner reveals that they are secured in place with adhesive tape that could possibly be removed by a professional.
