Description: Exceedingly rare 1936 Goose Goslin Detroit Tigers professional model home jersey (SGC/Grob: Excellent - MEARS "A8"). Cream colored flannel has the Tigers "D" logo on left front chest and number "4" on the back. In the collar is a well worn Spalding manufacturers tag and "Goslin 4" is chain stitched to the right. The year "36" is similarly chain stitched in the tail. In fine overall condition with evident use and wash wear along with some general age related wear and spotting. There is a small (nickle sized) piece of fabric affixed to the interior right front tail which was done to repair an even smaller hole and both underarm areas have been repaired. One button is missing. The included MEARS documentations states that it has been professionally cleaned with some paint spots removed. Goslin played (18) seasons of Major League Baseball including stints with the Senators, Browns, and Tigers. He was a member of (2) World Series Championship teams including the 1935 Detroit Tigers.
