Description: Ty Cobb display featuring autographed check, handwritten letter, and c.1930s portrait. Framed display (15.5"x18.5") features a trio of Cobb related pieces including August 5, 1955 dated handwritten letter on his personal stationery reading in part, "+I have no records to refer to as to my stealing 2nd + 3rd + home in one inning. So many things happened during my 24 years in Majors I cannot say when + where and date etc...Sincerely, Ty Cobb." Mounted just above is a July 31, 1954 dated "Tyrus R. Cobb" signed personal check. Both of these pieces, along with the vintage c.1930s portrait photograph, are secured in place with archival tape that could likely be removed by a professional if so desired. There is a faint horizontal crease at center of the letter, some very light wear to the photograph, and the check has been folded several times to allow for a proper fit within the frame. Handwritten letter includes the original mailing envelope and a PSA/DNA LOA. Overall piece includes full LOA from JSA and PSA: Sigs. NM, Pieces VG-EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
